Default [solved] 4gb ipod nano clone all files gone!

i accidentally deleted all my mp3 player files.. so when i connect my mp3 player to my pc the driver appears as E:/ ,but there are no files in the folder.. so i can't add or play any files, songs, pics etc. but it does turn on and the fm radio works fine n everything looks fine. except i get a "disk error" when i try to click on a video or song on my mp3 player ??? is there any way i can get a copy of anyone who has the same mp3 player version or a place or link i can download these files to copy them back to my mp3 player?.. thanks.. by the way im new to this website... any help is appreciated...thanks in advance.

You need to reformat the drive.

I don't think a Format is needed. when drive E opens up you see 0 files or folders in it..Try draging and droping some MP3 files in the E folder, see what happens..

If you really want to reformat..click on My Computer, right click on E: find format in the drop down box & follow the prompts.

Read the memory hack thread..it tells you how to reformat..

Your lucky..at least your PC is picking yous up..Mine are just sticking on the hourglass & my PC doesn't recogonize the device..

Good Luck!

Glad you got it working.

Where and who did you buy it from by the way?

If you paid by PayPal, I would highly recommend you file a DISPUTE with PayPal and try to get a partial refund for it. There's no point in sending it back as the cost would be too high but if you get a partial refund, at least you'll get the player for a lot cheaper!
