Default Questions for develop a firmware

Regards,

I have an Ipod Clone 1.8" with chip AK1025 (atj2091 compatible) and firmware 9.1.52.

I have this tools to clone, change and make some interesting things (the only tools thats works with my mp4):

- s1res 3.6 (downloaded from www.4shared.com)
- s1clone 1.4 (my best friend ever )
- s1giveio (downloaded from here, thanks lolita, great job!!!)

The question is:
- I want to make changes in the firmware (a playlist could be cool)
- Loadram (0.3) doesn't works with my mp4 player.
- s1giveio works and i can turn on/off the backlight but i can't upload a bin file (i don't know what is the address to load in the ram).

Any help will be welcome.

Regards Vjail

9.1.52 should support playlists in A3L format.

Thanks for your replay lolita, i will gonna use it, i will check if i can make playlist in the same player (like in my cell phone).

But i want to learn about proggraming with this "mini computer", i'd like to make modifications or new functions by hobby (i'm an Electronic engineer with some knowledge about z80).

I'm making some test with the binary examples from loadram (RECORD.AP or the BIN files) but loadram doesn't work for me, s1giveio do the job.

Can you recommended me tools or info about:
- How to test bin files with s1giveio.
- How to make a FW with a compiled AP file (s1res can't make it for my player)

Thanks for all.

Regard,
Vjail

yes matteo123, here are the links (sorry, i can't upload files in this forum):

Firmware to use with s1res3.6 (you can change all the images with this)
http://www.4shared.com/file/94015598...2-s1res36.html

Firmware to use with s1clone14
http://www.4shared.com/file/94015599...s1clone14.html

I use the s1clone with the ADFU driver when i try to change the firmware with s1fwx (ver 3.3 still doesn't work with this players) and the player becomes death (s1clone is a livesaver).

LCD autodetect does not work on v9 players, it was written for the older 208x series.
