Default rk2706 -> restore firmware -> red screen

hi guys,

I tried to recover my player following the guides found in the forums.

copy rkusb.tag to access to the firmware partition and copy the firmware folders. remove rkusb.tag and the player comes up with a red screen

I dont have the original backup so i used one from a player that looks quite similar. have this something to do with the red screen?

am i in the right path or I missed something important?

Aiken

Hello Aiken

For the 2706 there are many software possibilites and almost none is working due to the fact that it is factory depended. You could try different ones but in my case I tryed almost 20 different kinds off firmware and the only way I get it working was with contacting the supplier, Good luck.

could you give me the chip numbers or as much info on the players serial, type etc as possible,
i could probably find the firmware you need,
and did you accidently press cut when your in the FW folders,
mabie just try resetting your player?
or try putting rkusb.tag in again, your player might be sensitive to this
make sure when you put rkusb in the pmp you disconnect, reset pmp then plug it in again
instead of just unplugging and plugging it in again
