Dead Shuffle 2g Clone
I have Chinese shuffle 2G clone ...
It was working pretty well for quite sometime ... but was showing some signs of memory problems so i thought i a quick format might not harm it cuz it was working for quite sometime now ... so i formated it using MP3 PRODUCT TOOLs 4.10 now its pretty much dead ! I have opened it see the CPU details .. but its pretty unreadable ! Memory thou is HYNIX The player as 2 leds ... red and green .. usually when it is charging (when it worked) both glowed ... now when i connect it to the pc the red one is bleekly glowing Computer is detecting the player as MASS STORAGE DEVICE Mp3(FS) Player It would be great help if someone can tell me what software can i use to detect the mp3 players CPU so that i can find a firmware to flash it! OR if anyone know how to get it back to work ... even that will be great help! |

Re: Dead Shuffle 2g Clone
VID 0603 = Novatek
This company is most known for its somewhat obscure LCM controllers, but finding that it produces MP3 SoCs is even more of a surprise --- you have a very rare device. Could you get a good, focused, high-resolution image of the actual CPU? The part number will likely begin with "NT". |
I am not really sure about the photo ... i wil try and get it ASAp
But the chip for certain reads *6908 Something 6908 It had a real bad sticker on it ! ...the glue has ruined the printing! Maybe its a N 6908 or TT6908 or T I 6908 Most probably a N |
Re: Dead Shuffle 2g Clone
Hi!
I have now the same problem! I have a ipod shuffle clone as yours and when I try to restore the firmware, but it returns me an error: "restore error!" when the restore application tries to "write protected zone". after it, the PC doesnt recognize the device. My chip is sinowealth SH66260U (probably some 6 is a 8 because the numbers are tiny). I was searching but I dont get any pretty information. If I get something I'll tell you! |
i still couldnt my chip number ! ... they are really really tiny ! .....
|
did you buy it on ebay? has the chip any company name? the mine is SinoWealth. probably is the same player...
|
No i didnt buy it on Ebay ... local market .... well the chip had a sticker ... which was very hard to remove ... and the name is nearly gone due to the glue of the sticker !
