Re: Dead nano 3G clone
Thank you very much. I was able to restore it and now it works. I actually used a separate .bin file to restore then used one of the firmwares you gave me and finally i got blue hourglass followed by welcome screen. only problem is that it says it is only 2gb now. when originally it said 8gb on the player, and it has a sticker on the back saying 8gb. is there anyway to get the 8gb back

That is a 16Gb or 2GB NAND flash. You do not have 8GB (64Gb). (See here for part number explanation: http://www.hynix.com/inc/pdfDownload...ND%20Flash.pdf ) Which firmware was the correct one? |
Re: Dead nano 3G clone
Yea i looked it up before you replied, i realized i was ripped off from the ebay seller. I when to file a complaint but he removed himself from ebay.
What worke for me was: I used this to restore it back to disk mode with no display: V5800_9.1.52.bin then flashed it with this and it was fully resotred it with display: BKS25056_STD_91NB22_32 FPC888101C-V0.0_UC1698V(DN)_en. Anyway i was looking into changing the display of the player to look a little more like an actual ipod nano or even something rather than the three presets that come with the firmware. Any ideas, i have seen some threads and post where people have been able to do so. |
