mp3 write protected,.. plz hlp

hello frnds..
i just a smalll chinies mp3 player without screen or nay display looks same like the apple small 1 gb player...
the device is getting connected in the pc and shows datat but when i try to put the songs in it or tries to delete the songs from it says that the device is write protected' remove protection'

Format the drive with MP3 player utility.

Search this site and the internet. There are many versions, try the one which works for you.

Hi mohitanand,

On the left hand side menu bar, there is a linke called "Downloads". This has a list of all the downloads available from this. When you are in there, click on the "MP3 Player Utilities", it's a subcategory under "Tools".

You will find all the MP3 Player Utilities versions available there.

To try and solve your problem, can I ask you, has the message ALWAYS happened on your player or has it only happened recently? If you can try to format it using the MP3 Player Utilitles Format Tool, then see if that helps. Otherwise there maybe an option in your player's [Setup] menu that has a "lock" feature enabled, look through there.

It's hard to tell unless we know more about what your player looks like or if you can send some screenshots of what your player's [Setup] menu looks like.

i m uploading the image of the player.. it is same as the mini 1 gb apple original mp3 player but its a chinies one(cloned)..
it doesnt plays the songs and wen i connect it the pc and tried to download songs in, the pc shows a message that the devoice is wrote protected...
i can copy songs to it neither i can delete songs from it..

pzl suggest me the way to repair it..

device repaired.. the problem was in the flash chip.. the write pin was damaged.. chip rppaired and device is working f9 now..
