Default Memory decrease caused by me

Hello I got a 2gb S1mp3 and it was working very good for some time, the thing I realized when connecting it to the PC was that use to appear 2 drives 1 with almost the 2 GBytes and one with very lite space like 500k (after I known it was cause the Mp3 drive configuration was on "multidrive"). Then (being so corious) I run the Mp3's driver CD and started the Disk doctor utility it has 2 labels one is for format the unit and the other for make partition and encription so I used the partition encription label and made an encription/partition of the unit (being setting the mp3 in multudrive mode) and then I had a bad surprise cause now I have only 450 MB instead of 2 gb

I tryed formating it with FAT mode but nothing happens.

I will put on this topic the codes for identify my MP3, after i dissasemble it.

What can I do? Do I need a new firmware and will solve the problem?

Thanks.

Did you ever use the full capacity? It might've never been 2GB in the first place, 450MB sounds like the actual capacity is 512MB. Open it up and find the ID of the NAND flash to confirm the true capacity.

K9K4G08U0M

4Gbit, or 512MB.
