Default Recovering firmware

Hi.

I bought from ebay a mp3 player with OLED display and it's suppoused to have 8GB memory. Actually, there was some problems with fulling this capacity - when I sent there 10 folders with different intepretes, folder names copied right, but the content of folders was same.

So I tried to format whole memory, but after that, it stucks on "Starting..." screen with hourglass.

I spent few hours with reading your forum, Recovery guide and others - actually I get player connected in Vista as "Actions USB 2.0 (HS) WinUSB Device", but I can't find (better say can't download) the right FW which I could try through MP3 Player Update Tool. I found some firmware on S1FW.com site, but im completely unable to download them.

Chip is ATJ2091
Memory is Samsung 904 K9GAG08U0M PCB0
Plate is MP3-910002 Ver. 3.0

(info about player from ebay where i bought it - http://cgi.ebay.com/8GB-Design-FM-WM...arms=72%3A1205 )

Is there any other place or way, how to get the right firmware that i could try?

K9GAG is 2GB.

Also, 910589 is supposed to be identical to 910002, so try this one:

Thx. I tried this one, Player Update Tool works with that, but player is in same condition - only the sign "Starting" and hourglass is now mirror turned. Win still doesnt detect any UMS and Device Manager still shows just "Actions USB 2.0 (HS) WinUSB Device".

Try the Product Tool. It has an Erase Flash function which may be what you need to clear/remap any bad blocks --- when the player stays at the hourglass screen, it's having problems verifying/loading the actual firmware, but since it can display the hourglass, at least we know your display and boot record got loaded correctly.

Find another computer or figure out why the driver isn't installing properly. But that is the way to try.

Finaly i get the Product Tool works on my ntb (HINT for anybody who will need this - enable Compatibility for the "batchproduct.exe", WXP SP2 mode works great) BUT ProductTool doesnt detect device :/
It seems that my "Actions USB 2.0 (HS) WinUSB Device" mode is not enough, so i tried to install proper ADFU driver and it works. BUT - what i should do now?

First step (flashing FW by Player upgrade tool) now doesnt works - so do i have to try anything else?
Product Tool detects player, but button "Erase flash" is disabled.

I really dont want to kill it completely

I don't remember well but I think you have to select the player to be erased before that function enables.

Posting screenshots would be a good idea.
