that new partition is where your firmware should be - did you make a backup at all, if not look in the downloads section for a similar looking player firmware and copy the files over to the firmware partition BUT no guarentee that they will work at all

yes i know this is bacause the firmware has been killed now, no way to get it back, i was aasking if you had made a backup before

you need to look in the downloads section for similar player firmware, there are some that are for similar player to yours, get the files, format that drive and copy the files onto it

2705 seems to be only a slightly older revision of 2706. Try the firmware anyway, since you can always access the firmware partition even if the player is inoperable.

as far as i know there is no 2705, only 2706, 08, 10 and 12 in the 27 series, i think it will say 2706 but some of it has been rubbed off, so yes, those will be the ones too use

FAT 32 for the files syetm and when you download any files there wil be several folder called APPDATA, SYSTEM etc, just copy them all to the firmware partition, safely disconnect and see what happens, i have the same player as you and my firmware is up there somewhere, i have bricked the player so many times, in fact it bricks on a daily basis!!! - i dont use i now
