Rizone/Itchee Mp3
I got the rizone/itchee mp3 player and it worked fine the other day. Clicked and dragged the music, everything was fine. Then yesterday I tried to add more music, and it has now become my pretty little "Hello" screen. anyone know what I can do to get this thing working again? It would be REALLY appreciated. Thanks.

Just received my rizone today, found out today they are all hacked mp4 player to show 32gb when in fact they are 4gb or less, and after 3 hrs of copying files, 6gb and then formatting, then copying another 3gb onto it, its now only showing the HELLO screen. I've tried turning it off, pressing and holding the each of the buttons for 10secs a piece and to no avail, any one please how do i reset it.
Simple quick manual. across one side of the player, opposite the on/off slide button, you will have 6 buttons. with the screen facing and rizone on the right, you going from left to right a arrow returning to itself <return, |<< previous, >>| next , M <menu, and >|| pause and play. with the device turned on you should see a music folder by default, use the >>| or |<< keys to move to the next or previous menu item press the M when you have selected the one you want to go back to the main menu use the return key. IN the settings menu, or the username, user the >|| key to move the select letter to the approiate line it will only go in one direction, up, so when you at the top press it again, and the >>| |<< keys to move left or right, press the OK at the bottom, followed by the M to store the new username the the return arrow to get back to the menu. |
Someone have the firmware of this mp4?

Re: ITCHEE/RIZONE Is using the "Report Item" facility in eBay a way protect ppl
Re: ITCHEE/RIZONE
Is using the "Report Item" facility in eBay a possible way of getting these things off eBay and preventing even more people getting riped off like I and coutless others did ? They're all hacked 4GB players NOT 32GB, as a consiquence they lock up and crash. The manufacturer doesn't even make a 32GB version ! Don't beleive me? Click on the link bellow, it's a direct link to the manufacturers site advertising these players with 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB or 16GB NO 32GB Blue Cheap 4TH mp3 mp4 Mp5 Rmvb OGG Portable Digital Media Audio multimedia player fm radio TFT LCD PMP 1GB 2GB 4GB 8GB 16GB Manufacturer exporting direct from Guangdong China A simple mistake is one thing but repeated out and out fraud makes me really angry.... basically i've been looking at the people who bought the itchee and rizone players and emailing them / contacting them to tell them they are fake 4gb player and to ask for their money back/ cancel their order. dont know if thats done any good. even contacting a UK seller thats selling them and told them to check they players. Unless of course they want to be done by the british trade and standards, which is possible as they are UK based. not only can they be fined for knowning selling these players, but trade and standards have the right to take said players away from the seller.
Maybe someone should tell the Manufacturers what the buyers of their players are doing. and saying to the manufacturers that these buyers are ruining their reputation by hacking the 4gb players, as now people are warning others to stay well clear of RIZONE and ITCHEE mp3 players. Ok, i'm going to then, lets see what the manufacturers have to say about it. |
I am glad someone else is taking this serious
So what if you get your money back via eBay / paypal, that's not the point, you wait god know how long, it arrives and then is buggered within a day or so (depending on if you actually try to load something on to it and use it) then you discover it wasn't just bad luck on your part, but an on going systematic scam.
You shouldn't have to do a back ground check of the seller with the securitises commission before buying a MP3 player. If you put them on a black list they just change user names. Btw, here’s an update on the one that sold me mine "checkmeout88" aka leung che shing (bet he regrets suggesting that now) There's a “notice of bankruptcy order in the high court of the Hong Kong special administrative region court of first instance, in bankruptcy proceedings no 3676 of 2009 re: leung che shing <c579xxx>” (happy birthday sunshine) These people / companies need to be shown that this is unacceptable behaviour, it will not be tolerated and there will be repercussions. Sorry for my some what over the top attitude on this but as you may be able to tell it makes me very angry, the funds are trivial but the principle is not!! |
Has anyone discovered any way to bring the itchee / rizone players back from the dead? E.g. putting power to or grounding one of the legs of the chip.
thanks .. John |
I have the same problem the Rizone player is not booting up past the "hello". When I first got the player I thought it said "hell". Sure is!
I copied over 4gb of files the first 20 minutes that I got the player, to test it. Then I turned it off....... turned it back on again, and won't boot. Hello! Hell! Not sure if it has to do with the battery because someone else on these forums said that if you plug it in to a usb port that has AA batteries, it can recover the player due to the extra power from the USB supply? Got my money back from seller.. still want to get it running though. I would pay the seller something for this peice of garbage if I could get it at least working. I like the looks of this player, it looks better than the ipods and other junk. It's simple and cool looking. Too bad it's junk inside the chips! I tried shorting out some pins since there was no other option. Didn't help. Still doesn't boot past hello. |
When you plug it into your computer, does your computer pick it up as a device in Windows? If it does, it means that it's not fully 'dead'. If that is the case, have you tried FORMATTING it (provided Windows detects it)?
|
windows doesn't pick it up since the first 20 minutes.
I got it to pick it up accidentally once by shorting pins out.. but it picked it up as some other weird device. So when I shorted stuff out, usb got fooled and the bits got mished and mashed. |
I just had to join to say - I got it to reset and detect after it died! It dropped from a 16gb to a 2gb :( ... I had to short the pins at the bottom, near the reset button. There's a little black chip with four pins on each side, I ran a paperclip down the left hand side, hit reset with it plugged into my computer, and it showed up as a rock-somethingorother usb device. Formatted as FAT, and was able to copy stuff to it after that. Keep you posted on details!
Just hit reset again - and it was detected, and the screen came on after many many weeks of it being very dead!!! |

Not sure, it's got a silver bezel and three buttons underneath the rizone logo. Do you have a headphone jack at the bottom of your player? It's on the side opposite the headphone jack. In mine, there is a speaker smack right in the middle-bottom of the board, it is just to the right of the speaker.
|
mine has microSD card slot, usb, and headphone at the bottom. microSD slot is underneath rizone logo. Guess we could take pictures or find some on the net

take off the back - if it is dead, you have nothing to lose. I'll take a picture of my board and highlight where I shorted later today. It was a little chip, marked LN4890 (i think), with 4 pins on each side.
