Calibrating a 2'8 touchscreen?

Hello everybody,

Firstly, scuse me for my poor english...

I have searched a solution on internet but I have not found any convincing answer to my problem.

So here is the matter:

I have bought a 16gb mp4, with a 2.8 inch touchscreen.
The touchscreen is not calibrated anymore. And obviously I am not able to go on the "settings" button, because it is in the right side and my stupid touchscreen thinks I am out of the screen when I put my finger here....

I am waiting for your answers, thank you in advance.

Here is the picture of the mp4 and the link with some of its characteristics:

Arf...does anyone have an answer? I need music...

If I reinstall a firmware, do you think that it could reset ALL the datas, especially the ones about the touchscreen?

Regards,

Valzak

I have opened the mp4 to see the chipset.

It is a Rockchip RK2608C

My mp4 is apparently a copy of an Onda model.

So, do you think that reinstalling a firmware could fix my problem with the "non calibrated anymore" touchscreen ?

Pleaaaaase, help me ;)

Regards,

Valentin

Check the side of your player to see if there is a small RESET button on your player. Some of these players has a reset button which may reset the touch screen for you.

Let us know of the result.

There is an option to calibrate the screen under Settings\System\Calibrate.
If that does not work: I found a working firmware for the Rockchip RK2608C here: » Firmware, Manual, MP4 Tool and AVI Converter Smart II
At the buttom of the page there is this link: http://www.oem-drivers.com/wp-conten...ct%20tools.rar
This zipped file contains a firmware file called "firmware.rfw". The included flash program is called "Product Tool No Dog 3.2.0.5" (Consumer.exe).
It revived my MP4 player, good luck to you!!
