recovering firmware information

hello everyone, i have just bought a samsung YP-R1 mp3 player, i have managed to download a couple of songs, but now when i switch it on i get a flashing message saying" recovering firmware" it then turns itself off, this is making my mp3 player unuseable, can anybody help, thanks.
