After low format, now a disk error message
Dear all.
Hope you can help me with this. I bought a mp3 player with the following firmware Lisong Design LSC_25204H_B1C 2008-12-29 9.5.54 2008-09-05 Since I experienced a lot of trouble with copying music on it , (files were automatically dropped in other folders than intended,(or doubled) and file format errors) I decided to do a low format using the tool on this website. It al seemed to work just fine, the copying , and pasting to the mp3 player went alright (after the low format I also did a windows format), no errors. But after I downloaded some music onto it and wanted to play the music the player said ,,,Disk error. My player is a 16 Gb player. This 16 Gb is also recordnised by the low format tools. Now it looks like I'm stuck with a unusable player. Hope your have an idear what I could do. I was also unable to find the correct firmware, so I could not try out a firmware upgrade. thanks ev'ry one Best regards Jan , Netherlands |
Just the same :(
But I have: LISONG DESIGN LSC_25103V_B1D 2009-07-08 9.5.54 2008-06-04 |
I found solution.
First of all I low format should be performed using HDD Low Level Format Tool, after that I did "Full format" using mp3 Player Disk Tool. As a result I received working player with 4Gb of memory (instead of hacked 8Gb). But real size of my memory only 2Gb :( |
Thanks , I'll give that a try.
Best regards Jan |
You have to perform high level format after low level formatting just to write another file structure to the disk. tnx

and the same for me!
My (alleged) 16GB player gave me problems including corrupt directories and files. I tried a format but just got "Disk Error" messages afterwards on the player!
I eventually formatted it with the HDD Low Level format Tool (took about 30 mins), then I used the MP3 Player Disk tool (on the supplied CD) to wipe it - this took it back to its 17.2MB only "default" setting, then I tried various settings of formats (2GB, 4 GB, etc..) and eventually found that when I formatted it to 1GB this brought the player back to life!! Hopefully this might help some others!! |
