Default Can't "unlock" 16GB 2.8" Touch Screen MP4 player

Hi,
I don't know if someone has had the same problem as me. I bought a 16 gb touchscreen player on ebay.

" 16GB 2.8" Touch Screen MP3 MP4 Camera Media Player 16G en venta en eBay.es (finaliza el 15-dic-09 23:06:46 H.Esp) "

It was working correctly at first but... the second day after connecting it to my computer via USB , it started doing rare things.
When i tried to use it "padlock" image appeared on the screen ( like if the HOLD button were activated). I couln't swith off the MP4. I had to reset the MP4 with a paperclip. Then continue working well but yesterday began to work bad again.
Now i can't do nothing because everytime i switch on the MP4 the "padlock" is activated (like the 2 image) and the Hold button is not pushed and is not broken. I've tried to reset again but is always the same, i can't use it because is imposible to unlock the MP4........... Anyone has any idea to repair it?

Thanks

Have you tried FORMATTING your player first in Windows to see if that helps?
(BEFORE your format, check what file system it is, is it FAT or FAT32?)

I think because your player says "16GB" that it may have been hacked to show that memory and whether the 'hacked' memory is causing your player to do some strange things.......

Let us know what happens when you have formatted your player.

Hi,
I've formatted the MP4 again in FAT32 and is working correctly now!!! But......
If you see the previous image.... it says 14,7 GB capacity and I think i used less than 2G before stop working.
What capacity do you think it has?
Thanks!!!

Chinese using 1 or 2 GB memory to hack up to 8 or 16GB. After format, try not to save maore than 960MB or 1.8GB data. Then, it will work well.
Can try LOW level format to retrive original memory size, but have risk, the firmware maybe wipeout and the player dead.
