Default Disk Error after using Disk Manager

I got a hacked YGY401022 player that MP3 Disk Manager reported as actually being 4gb (it was sold to me as 32gb). I went through the process of resizing it but when I try to reformat, it still shows up as 32gb. I was able to copy 4gb of data to it, but I think I'm getting the disk error because it didn't get formatted after the resize. Does anyone have any ideas?
