Yeah I did but when I try to recover the firmware, the program bugs at "downloading the restorable main program" !
I tried with different firmwares and different versions of Mp3 player utilities : sometimes it still bugs, sometimes it says : "invalid upgrade firmware file"...
Thanks for answering

You cannot use v3.x firmware on your device.

This other firmware has same LCM connectivity:
QY-059AV1
ZX-6012M
ZX-961M
MP-693W
MP-885W
ZX-885A
ZX-693A

What is LCM part number?

I've two sides of the LCM with numbers on:

Are there any part numbers on the FPC too? I can't find 128128A0G2 in the display database.

We can also try s1giveio method of manual test to determine the display controller type, but it is much easier to find existing match.

I'm sorry I'm really stupid, but what is the FPC ? Where can I find it? I don't know FPC maybe because I'm french...
I tried s1giveio, but it doesn't work.
Thank you lolita.

Do not try s1giveio without knowledge of the hardware. It can cause further damage if used improperly.

I'va got a problem... The LCD screen is stuck on the motherboard...

Ben's71 11th May 2010 12:51 pm

The LCD screen is stuck on the main board... I can see a part of the fpc which relies the main board to the buttons of the mp4 but it doesn't have any number on...

We can try to figure out LCM controller by software probe. First we will establish backlight connectivity.

Download and run s1giveio1.4:
http://rapidshare.com/files/209057470/s1giveio14.zip

Issue the following commands, excluding the comment (starting at the comma and until the end of the line):
Code:

o ee 4 ; this should turn the backlight on
o ee 0 ; and this line should turn it off

Issue 'q' to quit.

Post your results. If backlight is on A2, you should be able to turn it on and off with the above two commands.
