Ok, I have a 6 yr old JNC 20Gb mp3 player, it is a bit clunky but functions well as backup when I don't want to take my iPod out.

Until..
Recently it has started to freeze; I cannot find the disc to reinstall the firmware.
The firm seems bust & their websites dead...

I searched this site & couldn't find firmware.
Now, does anyone know if I can install another OS on it?
This is essentially a HDD with media playing software, no video but it has an unused FM radio and recorder which I am happy to loose..

Rockbox does not seem to support it.

any ideas? a Linux option might be OK
