Half dead AK1025

Hello!

The problem is that this cheap chinese mp3 player that looks like ipod nano is showing only sandclock on a blue screen. When I connect it to a PC it cant recognize it. Tryed adfu but without any success. Then it recognized it as ACTIONS USB 2.0 but still i could not access it via My Computer or any of the Utilities disk managers.

Ok, here is what is written on the chips:

The small chip - AK1025
The big chip - Samsung 846
K9G8G08U0B
PCB0

Please tell me what to try to revive it!

Firmware

2) Use "Google Pictures", find the player which looks like yours,
and then try to find the firmware for this player with similar appearance
3) Follow the "Dead Player Recovery Guide": http://mympx.org/forum/dead-players/...ery-guide.html

Mine looks exactly like the one in the guide but without that mp4 text and in the place of M i have Menu. I'm fallowing the guide but I cant get the computer to recognize it as a ADFU device. And if you read my post once again you will see where im stuck.

Just to add to this, it means you will have to open up your player and post all the numbers found on the plate, board and side of LCD screen. This will help find a compatible firmware for your player as it's very different.

Check the first post of this topic:

There're some instructions about how to make your player detectable.

OMG! I dont want to capslock! I have already done everything by the manual (if you read carefuly my first post) and im stuck. Did open it, run did the chip leg reset, did everything by the manual, BUT it does not recognize my player as ADFU (even with adfuupdate.inf and adfu.inf (tryed different versions). SO the question is WHAT TO DO FOR THE PC TO RECOGNIZE IT AS ADFU device?

We do not need part number of the flash other than to confirm capacity (this is 1GB). Post board ID.
