3" 16GB Rockchip 2705 Firmware HELP!
1 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
I think I need a firmware for a 3" 16GB (Might really be a hacked 4GB) Rockchip 2705 purchaced from TinyDeal. The full story: I have a 3" 16GB Touchscreen Rockchip 2705 MP4 player that I need help with. I think it was hacked to look like a 16GB because it would not take more that 3.8GB of files. I tried to fix it with RK27 Device Manager, I used the restore button and now when I plug it in to the computer I see 4 drives of 0 bytes. The RK27 Device Manager still finds my MP4 player but when I try to update it, it says that it's the wrong firmware (I think because its for the 2706) and if I try the Restore button again it says "Format Failed" I did backup the firmware before I did anything, but I don't know how to put it back on the player. Thanks for looking |
Make a single 4GB partition or format it as one big (FAT32) disk, I'm not sure which type your player will accept.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I have tried to format it but I just get errors, It comes up in My Computer as 4 drives of 0 byte size. I have read that when you restore these mp3 players the computer will no longer recognize them and you have to install a driver, I wonder if I need to update the driver so the computer recognizes it properly ??? Sometimes it comes up as an unknown device. So maybe I need a driver for a Rockchip RK2705. |
I think i'll just sell it on ebay :)
