Dead Rockchip RK2705

Can anyone help me please? My mp3 player keeled over on me last week without warning. I had not tried modding or intefering with it at all recently, although some months ago I tried unsuccessfully to extract the firmware using the rkusb.tag which I downloaded from elsewhere on this site.

When it crashed it momentarily showed an orange screen with just some icon labels, and then went blank. I've had nothing but black screen since then, although when I connect it to my PC it shows as a single E: drive. Before it crashed it used to show as 2 drives, the main E: drive and the secondary F: (card). I have since had it open, and produced the photos shown here. I have downloaded a firmware which I think should work, but I have no idea how to apply it. Can anyone help please? Thank you.
