Hi, it's my first post on this forum...Have been here so many times and got precious answers just reading other threads, I hope this time you'll accept a more direct request.
I bought an unbranded Mp4/Mp5 player from HK, since it was cheap and very tempting. Here's the model currently in my possession:
Long story made short, after 10 months suddenly it stopped working. One day I was recharging it and to my surprise, this is what I got when I tried turning it on:
I connected it to my laptop: usually it was recognized as a single memory driver and I could just upload music and videos with the copy/paste method (yeah, no manager programs at all)...Now it's a nightmare. My pc sees 2 memory devices, both of the size of 0 bytes.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to back up the firmware already installed, and I sadly discovered that the driver cd provided by the seller with the player has actually no useful drivers stored.
In sum:
- red screen;
- 2 memory devices of 0 bytes;
- No "roots" directory;
- No partitions;
- unable to shut it down (the red screen goes on until the battery runs low).
I opened the player, and found out it's a Rockchip 2705, with two Samsung memory chips. I'm still looking for working firmwares, but how can I past files such as rkusb.tag on two 0 bytes memories? All I get is error messages (logically).
Any idea? Thank you for any kind of help.
P.s. Sorry for any mistake, hope my English is understandable.
