[Solved]How to correctly flash sunplus mp4
Hello good peoplehttp://www.dhakamobile.com/images/smilies/biggrin1.gif
I have a jxd 692 (spmp 3052 d chipset, version - D661_V8.1_061mp4 player. I succeeded in backing up my firmware using FRM PRO tool. But whenever i try to flash my back up fw using FRM PRO tool i am getting an error message like this in the log window [dev no undefined]-FAIL- FRM_FW_SIZE_OVER_RANGE(43)-! Also my back up fw file (.bin file) has a size of 3.99 GB !!!!!!! Now my player shows a white display whenever i switches it on and hangs. I'm now experimenting with other fw's and it would be a great help if someone tell me the correct method for flashing. Please help...http://www.dhakamobile.com/images/smilies/thankyou.gif |
Now I'm trying to flash with a universal fw which i had downloaded from this site.
But i can't find the LCD and CAMERA ID's for modifying the fw.These are the details LCD : 69.02A31.021(I recently found this on the LCD connector.Original code is given on the previous post) CAMERA : JH-JX07C The player is not even a month old :( Somebody please help me. |
Did you see on the content of firmware, that you download from your device?
I just think, what if that file contain useless data from some point (with useless data I mean something like zeros or F in hex). If it is, you can delete useless data with some hex editor to get right file size and after this try load firmware to device again. I hope you understand me. |
Thanks to the reply.
I'm not familiar with codings and programming, but i did some research on hex editing and i downloaded a hex editor and checked my backup file (viz DefaultFw.bin). I didnt find a like a large no of zeroes but i did find many FF's. Please forgive me for my ignorance.:D |
:(

How did you mean it? I can't see any upload link. What is total capacity of your device? Maybe it just read whole memory. In probably a week I will be connected to fast internet line, so I can download and try to review your firmware, if you upload it somewhere. I can't help you with getting some original firmware. |

I'm afraid I cant upload my backup file because of its large file size (It is 4 GB man ;)) Besides that I read somewhere that I cant backup FW of SPMP 3052D chipset. So now I am doing a hit and trial method using whatever FW's i can lay my hands on. I'll post my progress regularly. There is one more question.I have this newly downloaded Fw editing tool which came bundled with a FW. In the main folder there is 'A' , 'B', 'LCM' , 'Temp 1073' , 'AIMG' , 'BIMG' , AN EDITING TOOL (.exe) , and a 'SPMP3050A.bin' file. Once i make the changes in the FW (ie after editing the LCD and CAM ID's ) using the tool, which file should i use for flashing ?Is it the same 'SPMP3050A.bin' file in the main folder? Somebody please clear my doubt |
I'm almost there friends
:D Good news guys.I finally found a FW which i think is the right one.
JXD 200B-1244-8m16-3052D-935B-U0E.rar - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download I flashed with this one and my player responded for the first time. I have been flashing it with different FW's for the past one week. The player is booting as normal but the keys aren't working except for the power button. The firmware folder has the following files only - 'AIMG' , 'BIMG' and 'SPMP3050A.bin' I cant find any 'A' OR 'B' folders in order to make any changes (ie in the userconfig.bin file in the 'A' folder) I was wondering if there is any way to edit the 'AIMG' file so as to make this FW work. Please friends give me a hand in here. I really liked this FW :) |
Mission accomplished........
:) :D :p
Hello folks. I finally revived my player.I downloaded the FW from here, Free File Hosting, Online Storage & File Upload with FileServe made a few changes and flashed it, and voila, my player is back to normal. I have been trying to get the correct firm ware for the last 10 days. Friends believe me, you can revive your player unless its some kind of hardware problem way out of your league.Just be patient and continue searching for the correct FW. Patience is the key to success here. And if your player starts to respond to any of the FW's make some changes in the 'userconfig.bin' file in the 'A' folder and try flashing it again. Remember that i flashed my player for 10 days until i found the correct one. There are more than one forums for mp4 players out there.Just post your questions there and they will help you. Remember this- 1 . Try posting in more than one forum.(I tried 3;) ) 2 . Post your queries in a clear manner (ie describe your LCD no, board no,CAMERA no etc) 3 . And finally, never give up. I would like to thank all my friends here for helping me out. I wish all of you a happy and prosperous new year. God bless you. :p  :) ;) |
I don't think you can backup firmware from this type of players. you have to obtain good firmware and flash it to the player. While backup process many players became dead for me. From the experts i understand that to back up 3052c firmware, you have to remove main chip and replace it with 3052B and then backup. you can obtain good working jxd692 firmware from internet. I already flashed many players of jxd661+, 691, 699 etc and working good.
