Problem getting in recovey mode for 1.5" LCD MP4 player (nano like), tried everything
Hello,
I'm new on this forum and I got here by trying to recover a player that i have bought recently. On short: player not starting, recognized by windows with yellow mark, can't get in adfu. So, the details: MP3 MP4 player (nano like), 1.5" LCD, 2GB Samsung NAND, Actions AK2117 chip, no external card support. Got it from the package, long pressed the on/off button, player turned on, main screen displayed, player got frozen, after a few seconds restarted automatically. The same steps a few times, eact time got stuck on the main screen after a few seconds of navigating through menu. After a few times, the player got dead, didn't start when pressing the button. From here: connected at PC trough USB-jack cable, Windows XP detects the player only as USB device, but with yellow question mark (no usb mass storage, no adfu mode) and can't find any suitable driver. A few things to mention: for a few times i got the player to turn on while connected at pc, buy keeping pressed the player's reset button, pressing power button then realising reset button...but only a few times. I have tried touching the nand memory pins and only once (from 20-30 tries) i got it as usb mass storage (don't know if it was because the short-cut) and turned on...display on and showed charging....then frozen and turned off. From there, i have tried everything that i have read here, but xp still displays the device with yellow mark and no usb mass storage, no recovery mode available. Tried with battery connected and also without battery...the same, windows detects the device but it's unknown. Tried to edit adfu.inf but no luck, the driver doesn't match for my device. Can't figure out what's wrong...i don't think it's bricked for good, as it started a few (random) times. Maybe i'm missing something. It's strange that anyways windows detects a device connected on the USB port. More, the chip is not bricked, as while the battery is connected if i touch a specific chipset PIN, the leds of the display turn on (only the leds). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Bogdan |
