Default ODNA VX585 crashes and freezes

I am new to this site and having browsed some of the other listings I am well impressed with the Tech advice that have been posted. Having said that most of it is well over my head so please bear that in mind on any posts to my account and I will do my upmost to respond in a more tech minded manor.
I have an ONDA VX585. It has worked great for me but recently it crashes. What I mean is it sometimes switches on for short periods and then freezes. I thought it was the battery at first though when on occasion it dose switch on the battery display registers a charge. I have lost my instruction manual and have searched the net for a replacement but can not find one. Firstly dose anybody know where I can get an instruction manual from, secondly, I have read on a posting that there is a reset button, whereas I can not locate it and thirdly, dose anybody have any experience with this player to suggest what might be the reason for the intermittent operation and freezing of this player. I have not changed a thing with regards to firmware or upgrades. I would be most appreciative for any help and guidance in response to this thread, Kind regards, Stuart

Hi Stu

Your player is like mine here:-
[Review] Onda VX585HD from HouseofDap.com

Mine has been stable and had no such problems with crashes etc.

There is a reset hole on the side of the player, you need an open paper clip.
Might be worth formatting the main 8GB flash memory too as sometimes corrupt media can cause this problem.

I'll upload the user guide.

Cheers knob

Hi, with all the crazy shit going on in the world currently it is always appreciated when a stranger goes out of their way to be helpful. I am most appreciative of the information you have passed on and i will give it a go. If you are in the position to email as an attachment the manual that would be perfect or indeed a link so as i can view it for myself. I hope all is well at your end, Kind regards, Stuart
