Dead Ebook reader rockchip

Hello
I've tried to update the firmware of my wifes reader and bricked it.
This is the reader black 7inch 4GB 480*800 Pixels screen ebook reader A121 | eBay
The update gave error and now the reader wont start.
I cant even get to the partitions.
But when I connect it to the pc on usb cable, I get a no recognized usb device, wich gives me some hope, because there is still some life on the thing. Even when I clip the reset hole, the pc starts searching again but always gets to unrecognized usb device.
I've tried different drivers but no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanx

After opening it, I found out that its a Rockchip RK2738.
So now I thing that the driver that windows is asking is for this chip.
Anybody has any idea where to find it?

same issue

Hi there, ive got the same reader, with the same chip (2738) and the same problem. I started to do firmware update, it went wrong, and now the computer does not recognise it. Ive tried everything , even disconnnected the battery. No luck, everytmie i reset or replug, I also just get the device not recognised or that it is faulty...

There must be some way to enter "panic mode" and force a new firmware on the device. I would really appreciate any input. Im sure the manufacturers dont use normal firmware update methods by connecting the device to consumer update utilities.

Any help would be appreciated.
