Default Any hope?

Hi s1fw, I'm bothering u again with my dead mp4 player. I just hope some firmware for my player appeared since we last spoke.

Control: ATJ2097N
Plate No.: TCH B631 V4
Screen No.: LM779A01-1A or LY-A1-070910-39609

I also found out (from a working player) that the firmware should be:
" Fw version: B631N2V3.1 2007/07/04 ". I don't know if that helps. Anyway thank you very much in advance.

Dear gogomanu,
if you have access to an identical working player, you can try to clone the firmware from that using the utility "S1clone" that you can find togheter with instructions on website www.s1mp3.de.
It normally works well...even if it quite slow, because it extracts and reflashes a raw image of the player memory; not pay too much attention to the warning messages that may appear during the rewrite process.
Good luck!

Thanks for the reply asino1966. I do not have acces to an identical working player. That information was given to me by the seller, and he doesn't want / know how to use s1clone. I can't return the player because it's scratched and I already opened it to see the board id, and the producer will not refund. My guess is that the fw is too new and that I have to wait for it to appear on www.s1fw.com or elsewhere. I already found firmware for B631 board v1.1 but it doesn't work (it's for ATJ2091 chip). Mine is B631 v3.1 and the chip is ATJ2097N. I don't know what type my fw should be. I tought that it's 9.0.48 but all versions of 9.0.48 I tried, made my player to be seen as an ADFU device. All versions of 9.1.52, made the player an USB Flash Disk, so they have the USB library compatible with the player's. I really don't know what to do anymore but to wait and wait some more for some miracle to appear. Thanx again for the reply. Best of luck

Thanks a lot zrock for your reply, but I already tried a long time ago all the firmwares on the sungworld site. It was a time when I thought that they are the producers of this piece of .... , cause I found on the site a player that looked the same as mine (C203). The fw version for C203 is v1.1(on the site)....mine should be 3.1 but I can't find it. Anyway thanks again for your time

P.S. F.Y.I. the B633 board has no similarity with the B631 one. The button positions and the components confguration are completely different.....I guess just the names are little bit close. Best regards
