Re: Need firmware AK1025 7J037AB 0JP

Thanks for the link zrock but unfortunately i think that my player is totally dead because after i did the formatting thingy, applying alot of firmware and short circuiting the chip according to the guide provided by someone in the forum, it came to a black/blank screen.. and when i used the mp3 utilities to recover or upgrade the firmware it say that my device is not connected, failed connect to the device. but in my system tray it shows that my player can be removed as F drive. and i can access the drive thru my computer but unfortunately i cant transfer any file in it. it says that my device is write protected. i guess its totally dead :S anyway thanks again =)

effa_242,don't lose hope. This "recovering a dead player" thing works in a trial and error method.Try to short the pins again.Follow the DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE well.

Zrock, okay now i think my player is not dead hehe coz it shows white screen. I tried to use the firmware that you have been providing me but it doesnt work. I've tried using the 9.1.51 that I've got from this site, this is when the problem come. Now my computer cannot detect it as removable device but only Action USB 2.0 (HS) WinUSB device what should I do next?

effa_242,shorting the pins again will do the trick. For your firmware have you tried finding on www.s1fw.com.I think the one i gave you doesn't fit the LCD of your player.Maybe you should try all AK1025 firmwares on s1fw.com and lets see if one of them works for your player. You know it's a matter of trial and error.Give it a try.
