Firmware assistance, please!!!! Ak1025 7k110ABo L2
I have been looking for firmware for nano II lookalike for Mp4 with 8 gigs. Not sure how to take it apart to get the right numbers. It has the flowers/koi theme. The cd I got was unreadable in computer. Please Help, my daughter is patiently waiting for me to get this up and running.
Thanks. |
Hi pooh bear,
Is there a problem with the actual player itself? Does it not work or something? I'm asking because if it's another problem, maybe it can be solved without the need to open your player and look for the firmware. |
The player shows all the screens but I can't download into them. The directions show to upgrade the player with the cd, but the cd doesn't open up on 2 different computers I tried it on. The radio works, but that is all. I guess I just need the upgrade part of the cd.

Re: Firmware assistance, please!!!!
I didn't finish my previous response to you earlier. The booklet says to upgrade the mp4 by using the cd (my cd doesn't work), so I'm not real clear as to whether there is a problem or not.
Sorry to be so vague, but I'm not sure what the next step is. The booklet is written really strange and doesn't make a lot of sense at times. So any help is more than I have now. |
Re: Firmware assistance, please!!!!
I got the cd open and did the upgrade and I ended up with an hourglass and the computer doesn't recognized the player.

Re: Firmware assistance, please!!!!
Hey pooh bear,
I think you jumped the gun too quickly by trying to 'upgrade' the firmware in your player. You only need to look at the "Dead Players" section of this forum to see all the members who have had problems with their player by using an incompatible or wrong firmware. Unfortunately, using the firmware from the CD doesn't mean that it is 100% compatible as a lot of the CD's are GENERIC, so the firmware on it may not be compatible with your player in this case, this is what has happened. Unfortunately you will have to now go through the "Dead Player Recovery Guide" (link --> here) to try to get your player back to a recoverable state then find a suitable firmware for your player. Also have a read of this post here --> S1 MP3 PLAYER firmware download site - s1fw.com. You need it to open your player and find the Board ID and chipset ID for your player to then find a compatible firmware for your player. Try that and let us know you get on. |
I have been searching for the firmware with no luck.
I have found the following info inside the player (which has no screws, you have to push it out of the case if that helps identify the player any better): Ak1025 7k110ABo L2 on the front of player it shows 80-2501 8* **2997*01*28VER:A On the other chip, under the sticker it shows: NANDE12W3A2BD6 880DG 8Y 50P 88 547 On the board, it has printed: 80-2501B 1025 VerA On the tiniest chip it shows: SPI SP5764AIIN10BAS05 Hopefully, this will help you find the firmware link I need. I seem to be unable to pull this info together to select the right one. Thanks |
