I'm confused. What firmware version should I download?
I opened up my MP4. It's a BAK MP4SDSP. Inside, I found the cpu number:
ATJ2097H F9190FA 4AI .. and the samcung ship says: SAMSUNG 646 K9G8G08U0M but I can't find the PCB number... There is a number here: SN-004_V1.2. Could this be the board id? I looked around and I think it is a 9.0 firmware. Is that right? But, there are so many of them... I have no idea which one is the right... Can someone help me? If you need, I have pics here! Thank you! |

Re: I'm confused. What firmware version should I download?
Thank you! I actually had already read that, but as I didn't know the chip number i sort of ignored that. Ok, let me see if i got it:
First, I have no dump, backups or something like this. You are saying me to download that 9.0.43 and flash it? Ok, but my mp4 is very different, it has a 2 inches lcd, and card reader... Can't I kiil my mp4 forever if I flash another fw? Thank you for your help! |
Re: I'm confused. What firmware version should I download?
I think that I got you know! You mean I should use s1wfx to extract my dump, fix it and upload the full firmware to the player? That's it?
Well, I tried. In Windows xp, the device is not recognized in adfu server, so i installed windows 98, where it is recognized and i can recover it... I tried using s1wfx in both... In win98 it simply didn't work... In winxp it just gave a lot of errors, like if it was finding it but couldn't... But, after all, is that what you meant? |
Re: I'm confused. What firmware version should I download?
The ATJ2097H is an Actions brand chip:
http://www.actions.com.cn/en/product.aspx?id=20 They don't seem to have much in the way of documentation on their website (at least not on the English website) |
that sucks... i was looking in my manufacture's site if there was something, and I just discovered that they don't vene have a site! that's a shame :( i am understanding now... the only thing is to extract my dump, but even this i can't.
just a thing: my player is without batteries... does it change something? |
