Default Serious Help for putting video on this 'iPod' Nano 8G 4G?

Okay, here's the deal.

A friend of mine supposedly ordered some 'cheap' iPod's from China. He gave one to me for Christmas a while ago.

I'll describe what it looks like, what the firmware is like and give the firmware version....

Here is the problem. When I plug the 'iPod' into the computer, it's recognized as a storage device. I can ccopy and put music into it that works just fine, I can store all the files in the world I want, which makes me truly think it IS 8GB, but when I explore the device in windows, I only get the following folders:

PLAYLIST:
RECORD:

The 'iPod' itself:
Looks PERFECT. It even says iPod on the back, it's supposedly an iPod Nano 8G 4G Generation, it's orange and shiny, has a 1.8' screen, looks PERFECT... the circle buttons are as follows: clockwise -- MENU, SKIP TRACK FORWARD, PLAY/PAUSE, SKIP TRACK BACKWARD --

When I open it up, THESE ARE MY MENU OPTIONS:

Music
MOVIE
Record
Voice
FM RADIO
Picture
Text
Game
SYS SETUP

When I click Music - I can access songs I put on in my playlists... works fine for music.

When I click on MOVIE - it states empty disk although I have several mp4 files on the 'iPod' now.

I can record on it, FM radio works beautifully, only thing I can't do on this machine is PUT A VIDEO I CAN ACCESS on it.

The thing is just acting like a USB DEVICE, I don't know how to put mp4 files onto this thing so that I can actually play them.

The firmware version is as follows:

MP3 PLAYER
BKSD91N628_33
2008-10-16
9.1.52
2005-01-09

I need to know step by step, what files to use, where to put them in the iPod so that I can play them on the screen.

Help? Please? Christmasy wishes?

Default ipod clone

Hi,
I have just purchased this same mp3 from china.
You can load videos but they must be in .amv format also you will probably find that it is niether 4G or 8G as i have loaded mp3 music
files (about 50)for my grandchildren and when i try to load video .amv
files i get a format error message which i think is because the disc
is full.Although my PC is telling me that there is 4G on the disc.
I'm not complaining as i only paid $25 each for them...they look good and the kids are well happy .
I would advise anyone buying these from China to expect a toy.
You will need the amv converter program that you will find in the downloads section of this site.
Merry Christmas!
Good Luck
Ray

Hi again
here is the link to the .amv converter program:
AMV Convert Tool 4.15 - MP3 Player Utilities 4.15
just look at the help file and it is quite easy..once converted to amv it will send the file to your mp3.
you dont have to place it in any specific folder yourself.
Hope this helps you
