2nd Virus in RK27SDK
 

:confused: Unbelievably I just found a second virus (TR/Crypt.ZPACK.Gen) in the recycler file of my brand new RK27SDK, that's plus the (Win32/Conficker.B!inf) I found yesterday. I get the feeling it would probably be a good idea if everybody scanned their hidden Firmware files. Every time you connect this little bugger to your computer you run the chance of infecting your whole system. Just so you know the Ebay sellers company name is "cypress_network" probably a good idea to steer clear of them. As an aside, since this little incident I've decided to format the whole drive, so if I've got this right, once I back up the firmware files, I can just format the whole drive. This will obviously kill the "rkusb.tag" file, so do I need to put that back first and restart before I replace the FW or can I just dump the files on the drive without it and all is well. Thanks ahead of time for any help.
