OK I really stuffed this up
I actually had my little RK27SDK player fixed and working, so this is really embarrassing to have to admit .
I thought I'd try a different FW to see whether it would be better or worse than the 2.20 I had working. but when I did the reboot after swapping the FW it came up with a message saying that the partition needed to be reformatted. Well I thought this shouldn't be a problem as I had just reformatted to fix the virus issues I was having. Only this time it shows that I only have 1.8 gig instead of the full 16 I had on the previous format. Windows will not recognise it as anything other than 1.8 gig and there is no option to delete the partition so I can start again. I have Acronis drive manager which can see my Corsair 16 gig USB and reformat it, but it can't see this little media player for some reason. So..... hence my dilemma, If someone can help me recover the rest of this thing I promise I will never mess around with it again. Is any body up for it......... Please........ Thanks |
Sorry to say but I think your memory was hacked.
It looks like your player's true capacity is 2GB not 16GB. It's normal for these players to want a reformat after swapping the firmware but after that should show the correct amount, in your case 1.8GB. Other than that does your player work normally? I would ask the seller for a partial refund since you only got a 2GB player when you paid for 16GB |
