RIZONE 32(?)gb media player

I'm not exactly sure what's wrong with this media player I bought...The first day I got it, it worked great, now, it won't play anything new I try to load on to it. I know haven't overfilled the (possible) 4gb memory, I'm only at 2.85gb. I loaded a few videos on it when I first recieved it and they worked fine. But nothing I've tried to load since will work. I've even tried deleing and reloading those videos I started with and now THEY don't work either. It's not giving me an error message or anything, it just seems to freeze. Anyone have any suggestions on what is causing this problem and how I can fix it?

By the way, it has a really amazing picture quality AND sound quality compared to other devices I've seen.

Are you sure it has 4GB ?
I suggest you make backup copies of all the folders in the player and store them on your PC, then delete them from the player.

Run "h2testw.exe" to find out how much memory passes the test as OK .
In my case it was "1.7 GByte OK" (poor 2GB memory).

well,I know it's over 2, because I had nearly 3 on there before, and it was working just fine...the next step up from 2gb is 4gb
And where can I find this "h2testw.exe"? I'm fairly computer illiterate so I really don't know what to do with these?

ok, I ran the program and it said 3.7gb ok, so it's a 4gb...I already new about the problem, but that's not what my question is about. how do I get all my new downloads to work??

If the problem is not caused by the files being stored in the hacked area of memory, the probable cause is incorrect video format.

I re-encode all my vids using viDrop http://mympx.org/forum/video-related...p-players.html

avi format

video
xvid codec
width = 320
height = 240
fps = 25
audio
codec = mp3
srate = 48000
channels = joint-stereo
bitrate = 128

These settings have worked for me, so I haven't tried altering them.
