I am hoping someone can help me. I am in need of a firmware file located here:

I've tried to register on this site, but they require an invitation, something I noticed one or two of you on this forum have managed to acquire.

Would one of you be willing to download this file and post it here somewhere, maybe send me an invitation code for mydigit.cn?

one of the mydigit admins just sent me an invite code. I will post the firmware I just downloaded after i virus scan it.
it is for a OCZ core v2 solid state drive with 256GB. It should work for any SSD that uses the JMF602 (JMF602B?) controller.

I've managed to download it now and have attached with this post.
Do you have a description of what the tool does or what it's used for?

The aforementioned file is a firmware mass production utility for JMicron JMF602 based Solid State drives. The version 090928 is supposed to support drives where there are 8 memory banks. The reason you may want to update your firmware is that the drives suffer from a problem commonly referred to as "stuttering" where very small IO operations can tend to take rather lengthy amounts of time to complete. Other forums reference the "XP_ISP" flasher, but it does not support these drives. I have not yet tried this firmware, so use at your own risk. From the OCZ forums, someone has managed to try it, but never posted the file due to OCZ policies.
