Hi. Please post a photo of your player. Why do you need the firmware?, is your player dead?

This player seems to be an oem type, sold under among other names, Titan US-071, the firmware of which can be obtained at this link:Download Are you at least seeing the charging battery icon appearing when you plug in the charger cable? If the player is completely dead as you say, then there is nothing to lose in trying this firmware.Do you have the Rockchip firmware update utility? If you don't it can be downloaded at this link:Download Fuzhou Rockchip Firmware Update Tool v.1.0 | Catalog - X-DRIVERS.COM: eXtremly full software portal
If you are lucky, you should be able to connect the device to your pc using this method: put the slider on/off switch in the off position, and press and hold down the play button. Plug in the USB cable, and windows should announce that it has found new hardware Allow windows to install the drivers for the new device, which will then be identified as Rockusb device, when you double click on the USB arrow icon in the task bar.I assume that you would have previously installed the updater software, which you should now open. You should also have extracted the rfw file from the firmware download zip file. Click the open tab on the firware updater, and navigate to where you have placed the rfw file and select it. Once the filename appears in the top window, click update, and it will proceed to install the firmware. If the player is not responding to the hold down play button/insert usb cable technique, you may have to open it and short the pins of the flash memory chip (I believe it is the one labelled Hynix) with a pair of tweezers.By the way, make sure that your computer is in administrator mode, when doing the upgrade, otherwise the process will stall.

I know this may sound silly, but have you tried a new USB cable? Also it would be helpful to know the board number. Is it sd036-main-v12? You get the board number by removing the four tiny screws at the top and bottom of the player, removing the back,(very carefully, because the speaker is soldered by two thin wires to the board;if you jerk the cover too suddenly, you might break these connections), and then removing I think 5 or 6 very small screws, and lifting up the main circuit board. The board number should be directly under the LCD display.

In my player the lithium polymer battery is stuck to the board by sticky rubber pads; it does not have to be removed to obtain the board number, but you do have to raise it up to obtain the numbers of the main chip, the ram, and the flash memory. It would be helpful if you could also post this information; I suspect they are identical to my Kaser CamFlix. As I have written in my previous reply, similar looking players to this are all over the place under different brand names; Ematic in the US even sells an upgraded version minus the FM radio, but with a better camera (5 Megapixels still camera; 640 x 480 VGA video Camcorder). Before updating the firmware, it is mandatory that you check the board number first!
