Just wanted to add my thanks to this thread and a firmware pressie for those interested

I have a Mebook 7 inch 4gb with chipset RK2738. I bricked it with the skytex firmware and after hours of searching came across this thread and another hour or two of tinkering and messing around trying to follow these instructions finally got it back up and running with the 2738.img posted on here.

Anyway i was so glad i was back up and running but not happy with the new (old) look ereader software, i wanted my old one back, and here it is! I think you'll find it much nicer to look at, with scrolling book titles etc. Anyway try it and see.

Its a simple upgrade with the usual RK28DM Setup file, no shorting of pins if you're already up and running.

Version is 1.1.0 to replace 1.0.5.

Image name is RK2738-E001-NewUI-Nofm-TTS-DOCsupport-Aiteqi(chinese)-20111021. Its 42mb compressed and 154mb extracted - use 7zip or winrar or whatever you like to use to extract files.

I've purchased a new ebook reader with touch screen RK2738 SDK V1.1.1 but i don't know how to back up firmware HTC_E01.tag don't show hidden partition

Finally i have found the correct tag to view hidden partition --> rk2738.tag
I make one image with rk28image.exe.
You can test if you want.
