Hello everybody!
I recently purchased an e-book (a chinese unbranded one) whose firmware doesn't seem to be good enough for my purposes...I bought it just to be able to read books but it seems that when you zoom-in there are problems ,either with the scrolling of the page, or even with the turning of the pages...Not to mention the sluggishness...
Despite having searched the whole forum and tried to update the firmware of this device with both skytex and MiGear firmware, I always get stuck when I press "Switch"... I think that I'm missing a USB driver...
However, I managed to make the hidden partitions appear (thanks to Nicolas72) but there is always the same problem...
So, my questions are
-Is it possible that I have bought something equipped with new chipset ???(The chip inside the device reads
RK2738 and googling hasn't heped a lot thus far. I had to uncrew the cover to see what the chipset was because in the system information it just says "Rockchip")
-Do I have any chance of ever finding a suitable firmware? or a USB driver to continue the firmware upadtes of either the skytex one or the MiGear????
(The USB driver found inside the zip files of both firware packages doesn;t seem to work for me. I'm quite experienced with upadting drivers but this one has taken a toll on me!!!)
Every opinion will be much appreciated!
Nikolas, Hellas
