Yes I did that. Now it looks like my battery died even though it showed full. Since It was not charged I'm charging it now. When I first got it it dumped all the music and the movies when I plugged it in to charge. Then I started getting an error what ever menu I chose. I hooked up to the usb on my computer and I have been able to put some music back on it and now I have these menus looking at my computer when its hooked up I get.
Music
Playlist
Record
Under record I have Music
Picture
Voice but I don't see Movies anywhere.
Where do you put movies?

Headphones are ok. I think it was a loose battery, not sure yet though.
thanks

I don't see any folders here, just an extra drive with anything in the root. I put folders with music files on it, and single long musicfiles just in the root. The video's that were on it and the pictures were in the root also.

vooshroom, It sounds like your player has a hacked memory chip and is proberably not a 2GB at all. Use this guide by "lattesurf" to fix the problem.

just got mine, my comments are pretty much the same as everyone else it seems:

+
-great finish/sturdy construction (my battery cover also seems pretty tight)
-screen is pretty nice
-conversion software works great and the glacier itself gets detected easily

-
-i inserted the cable one time while it was on, or turned it on while plugged in and then turned it off, and it mysteriously deleted everything on the player giving me that format error, so i just reformatted the whole thing in windows and it works now.
-i have no clue what's going on with the battery, it seems i can only charge it through the wall charger and not through the cable to a computer, and even after leaving it plugged in for a while the battery indicator is only half full, which goes down to one bar after playing something. wtf? i'm leaving it in the wall charger for a bit again to see what happens.
-also, my battery connection does seem to be a lil loose as well, maybe getting the larger battery might help as it rebooted on me a few times.

You probably suffer from weak battery contacts too. I had trouble with the wall charger, but after a charge through the usb port, it charges okay with the wall charger. Maybe a quirk, from being off so long between production and use. My gf's samsung's battery became better after some unload/load sequences too. Anyway, I'm looking around for another battery of the bl-4c type. Lots on ebay, till 1700mAh.

yeah you're right, i used it until the battery died, and now it's been actually charging through the wall adapter for about 3 hours now. very weird indeed, seems like it shouldn't take this long but whatever, let's see how it works past this point.

in addition, i noticed the addendum to the instructions that says don't use the switch to turn it on and off, but instead just hold down the play button. kinda whack.

The battery contacts seem to be an issue here too. Could not record from radio without distortion, like a ticking clock, through the phones. Same when changing volume with the radio, as long as the speaker icon blinks on screen, the player goes tick tick tick. Was also while listening to the radio and charging, and when changing stations, or while storing/saving stations. With the battery lid off, it would loose power if moved, so also stuck a piece of carton under the small side, opposite battery contacts. And now all the glitches are gone, no more distortion.
