Default Lyrics and .ogg or mp3 New Glacier

I just got a Glacier for the wife for Christmas. I am new to Mp3 players. I have ripped a few mp3 files in the past but not up to date on much. I want to rip some of her cd's to put on the player. I have heard that .ogg is better than mp3. My questions are:
What is a good free ripper? I have Free Rip which seems to do the job.
I see the titles load with the Rip ok
I also see that you can get lyrics to show on the Glacier, Where and how do I get them and load them to the Glacier? Do I need other software?

Thank you

I also have a Glacier, but have only just found out that it plays ogg files as well, so I haven't had a chance to test it out yet.
The only lyrics I've had on my player was the test file and it was an MP3 file not Ogg.
Here are a couple of sites for you to check to learn a bit more about LRC files. Let me know if you find if Ogg work with LRC files.

Will do thanks, I lost the files on mine. It was working but rebooting on me. I think the battery is fitting too loose I plugged it in to recharge and it dumped everything that was on it and I got an error when I tried to look at any directory. I hooked it to my USB port and was able to put some music .ogg files on it and it now looks ok, but the movie and songs that came with it are gone. Also everytime I turn it off/on the time reverts back to 2005

The idea is to not turn on/off your player using the [on/off] switch. As the players dont' have an internal CMOS battery to keep the clock settings, you will loose the clock setting if you use the [on/off] switch.

My best suggestion for you to turn on/off your player is to press and hold down the [play/pause] button for a few seconds to turn it on/off. this method will keep your clock settings intact.

Hope that helps.

Thanks I figured that out after reading the Ha Ha book. However the battery was loose. If I tapped on the case it would reboot until I put a piece of cardboard under the bottom of the battery to push it up. I also noticed some solder protruding from the side of one of the battery connectors. I think they need to be longer and more substantial to put more pressure on the battery. Everything seems to be working now. I wont really know until Christmas when I give it to my wife.

thank you

There is no hold buttons on this mp3/mp4 right? Can you hold on play/plause then use the hold, will it still delete your clock settings.

And can you give me a more of a belief description of it. Like when you turn it off what else will happen?
