Protective CASE for a Glacier & Other MP4 players w/no c

I was looking for and found a GREAT protective case today at a local store, for my not-yet-arrived Glacier player from UXCELL. It's sold as a mobile phone case, but I'm quite sure it will fit perfectly! Its made of fine leather with elastic material on the sides, so it can expand if necessary, and be moved out of the way a bit if necessary (to access phone jacks, etc). It has a clear window that's 1.5" x 3", and the case is about 4.25" long, with a velcro enclosure. I'm pretty sure you can press the buttons on the player thru the window, without having to ever take it out of the case. The case will probably fit other players too that Uxcell or other dealers sell, which are non standard and don't come with a case. Hey maybe I ought to sell them on eBay?!

Check it out, I took pics! I have uploaded them to the ACCESSORIES section in the Gallery/Photo forum.

Nice find, but beware, I had my first mobile phone in one of these. It turned dull at certain area's where the case touched the phone, from moving. You might want to put some soft material in, as a "glove", or tape off the stitched rimms. I can't see from here if this will be the case with you, just some warning.
I was thinking of laminating the players (once I get them back from uxcell) and cut out the holes for usb, phones and lanyard. Keep it in my shirt's pocket mostly.

Laminating..sounds interesting. How do you go about laminating the player?

Louie , basically to "laminate" a player, you need to buy those kind of thin clear plastics. i'm not sure what the name is, but is those that could shrink when exposed to heat sources like hairdryer.

Next, slot the player in the plastic and seal all edges with a heat sealer or something similiar. Then blow the whole thing with a hair dryer to shrink it. Also might want to poke a small hole to release any excess air inside. Then just cut out the holes when the plastic had fully wrapped tightly around the player.

That's right, you can buy the laminating machines and sheets real cheap here, something like 20 euro for a set. Most use them to seal off diploma's and things like that, papers that need to be safe from dirt or wear. You can laminate business cards too, that made me think of just laminating the Glacier.

Laminating the player is only going to protect it from scratches. It really needs a case to protect it from drops & bangs.
