Default New Palladium info

hello! i am new to the forum and have just purchased a Palladium which will hopefully arrive in a week or two, hoping it will be worth it!

is there anything particular i should know about this device? would you rate it as a valid product? i've read about firmwires, is it possible to update these on the palladium aswell?

thanks! marco.

How does the Palladium compare to the Glacier in terms of quality and durability? I see the Glacier has loads of problems, do these concern the Palladium aswell or are the few extra €/$ worth the difference?

thanks!

I've never seen one for real, but I helped a guy on a Dutch forum with the conversion software, and he was happy with it. He used it to play back video's of skateboarding he made on the street. The Glacier is a mp3/ogg player with not so good video play, the Palladium pumps up video playback with higher fps and a faster responding screen. Firmware is upgradeble, but if newer firmwares ever come to life? Haven't seen one to date for any chipod out there. Not to mention there is no working extraction/repair/upload tool for the latest firmwares, so we have to wait for that.
