Default still no reply about silver platnum problem

now I got another problem with my ebay ceo1shop , which came from uxcell, silver platnum and still no replies to my emails. The screen just flickers with the hourglass screen for a few seconds and shuts off. I have tried to charge it with the switch on and off but still nothing.

And The auction said 8 hour battery life but its only 4. their reply to that problem was that it is not constant 8 hours. with that kind of excuse it could be a month long battery life if you don't use it contantly. I did get a $5 refund for that problem though. WOWIE.

The worst ebay transaction for me so far.

Maybe your player is in ADFU mode! When the player is in ADFU mode the screen only show the hourglass!
Try to plug it in your USB port and check what windows show!
About the battery life...did you configured the player to turn screen off after a sonug is playing? the screen will be off but the player will be on and the battery time will be longer!

After you plug it in USB port appear a green arrow next to windows clock, double click in green arrow, then you can check if the player satus is MASS STORAGE DEVICE or ADFU MODE.
If player is in ADFU mode you only can repair it getting the firmware dump.bin (but you must to take care, you can kill your player) and it is not easy to find...you have to open your player and get the board especification, check www.s1mp3.org.
If player satus is Mass Storage Device and the screen still showing hourhlass picture, sorry I don't know what it could be!

dersquaw, Have you tried to PM Keith here at MyMPxPlayers.org. If the ebay shop is one of Uxcells trading names I am sure he will help you if he can as he has quickly fixed many problems that Uxcell customers have had.
