a couple of glacier questions?
hello i researched here before deciding to by the 2gb glacier mainly because of the price and the rave reviews. i received it today only 4 days after it was despatched from uxcell, and i was shocked at how small it was, i formatted mine and it is 2gb. The player is absolutely superb and the screen is excellent. anyway i have a couple of questions or others with the same player.
the manual is complete baffle to me. i received to strange little charger things for the mains and they dont look safe to say the least, i think the black charger plugs into the grey one for the uk but im not sure and i dont want to blow anything, so does anyone no if it is how to charge it and is it safe. also has anybody had any problems with the battery cover being real stiff, i cant take it off how is it done?, i am using a lot of force and it feels like im going to break something, so any advice guys?. |
Re: a couple of glacier questions?
You might have gotten a charger (it has an usb connection, use the provided cable to attach it to the player) and a converter in case the charger doesn't fit the wall socket. Check the charger for the voltage rating. Put the charger in the wall socket before you attach the player to it, it will avoid a blowing charger taking your player with it.
The battery cover has a sturdy fit indeed. It slides off, but you have to apply a lot of force, be careful not to put force on the screen. |
Re: a couple of glacier questions?
do you know if it is just supposed to slide straight off or does it need to be pushed then lifted up at an angle. I am certain the thing is going to snap with anymore force lol.

I just found the easiest way for me is with the nail of my thumb, hold the player like a lighter or a remote, screen down. Your nail in a 70 degree angle from the side where the connectors are, press a little down while pushing the cover away. It just clicked loose here, when I tried with the soft side of the thumb it was a pain.

Re: a couple of glacier questions?
I found the best way to remove the battery cover is to press down with your thumb, whilst sliding the cover back, adjust the pressure and there is a point at which the cover just seems to unlock. You do not need to apply too much pressure, just enough to flex the battery cover.
