sumthin wierds goin on!

Strange thing is happening to my i-platinum i just received, its ok on standby i just press the play/pause button and it comes on but when i turn off then on from the main power off switch it goes dead and wont gimme nothin :?:

Allthough when i plug it in to the usb it comes back on, and battery says fully charged?

So i dont think its the battery cause i can unplug from usb and it stays on till its turned off then same problem all over again. :?: :?:

any idea`s welcome

thx :D

You aren't supposed to use that switch other then to turn it on on arrival. Once off, your settings are gone. But it shouldn't act as it does in your case. If you can live with it, don't go through the hassle of sending it back at your own costs.

It sounds to me like you're witnessing normal behaviour with a chipod. You must be new to them. Once the main switch is off, nothing is supposed to come on. Think of it as a "hold switch" (that loses your settings). If you plug it into the USB port with the switch off, it will turn on, but I believe only the connect screen will show (showing the battery indicator). But you need to turn the switch on the unit to on to properly charge the battery. Note too that if the main power switch is left on, the unit will slowly discharge a bit over time.

Check out players that use the rockchip, they are a bit better that Action chips players.

For best value for general family members, you can't beat UXCell's Full Metal Platinum series, especially in deluxe 1.8" version. The 1.5" is cheaper but I think the 1.8" is worth it, its a bit better built and has latest firmware. Screen is nearly as good as Glacier, sound is in some ways better, and the full metal 2nd gen Nano casing makes it very durable. I bought some for family members, including the special pink edition for my sweetheart for Valentines.

Sure Rockchip players may be technically better, but they're for MP4 geeks, not family members! IMO, the safe bet will always be the 2nd gen Nano look, because that's the look most people favor (wonder why...), and are comfortable with.
