I do not know if Uxcell has any avi players. I do know at one time they advertised several players as the higher quality avi type and they turned out to be the cheaper amv players. Something you'd come to expect from a seller from our blacklist. (But as of yet their not on it???)
I do have an avi player I got from campus111 that worked perfect from day one. I also own the cheeper lower quality amv players and I can tell you that you wont be dissapointed with the avi vs amv. The conversion is simple drag and drop program and works extremely well. It plays mpeg4 video with mp2 audio. The video is way sharper without skipping, ghosting, is very smooth as it plays at 24fps.
Two drawbacks I can think of
The converted movie size is larger due to the larger (2.0" to 2.4") TFT screens. (224x176 & 320x240) The good thing is they do make models that will accept miniSD cards (some up to 4GB).
The firware at this time cannot be edited but I am sure that will change soon.
The sound quality is very good and most players have 7 different audio settings to choose from. Photos are bright crisp and very clear. No known memory hacked players to my knowledge in the avi version.
I plan to buy another AVI player soon the "RAmos 600' It sells for around $75 usd from House of dap. Also there was a thread where others submitted their favorite avi players do a search for it as it was informative.

Avionik99, don't act so pathetic with your blacklist and your trouble with UXcell.
UXcell will never be on a blacklist here other than your little own one.
UXcell doesn't scam, lie, cheat, hack, overcharge on postage, mispretend, like the sellers on the blacklist do.
The players that mentioned avi capable were not, the mistake on the UXcell site was removed, buyers got their money back.

Hey you, what's your major malfunction, exactly? What's this hard on you have against UXCell? What did they do to you, kill your brother? You seem to want to bash them here at every possible opportunity. Are you competing against them? It sounds like you are and they're hurting your business, because I can't seem to find any record of you buying a single thing from UXcell, that justifies your motivation for making slanderous remarks against the company every chance you can find. If I was the admin, you'd be toast by now.

No, I would NOT expect that from a seller on any blacklist, including my eBay blacklist. But I would expect that from a large company that offers a lot of different MP4 models, to get some of their specs wrong on the occasion. I would also expect them to fix the problem when its pointed out to them, and as we can all see, they have done that. Even when some people received players that had less than the advertised capacity, I knew UXCell wasn't out to scam people, in a word, shit happens.
They had no problems replacing those faulty players. They just sent a player to someone who (allegedly) suffered damage to their player in the post. They sent me a replacement for a player with a defective charge capacity, they sent other people replacements for their defective players, that is NOT the definition of a "scammer", jackass. A typical MP4 "scammer" would either offer you a partial repayment of your defective player or ignore you altogether. You have absolutely no ability to judge sincere dealers from scammers, which is why I don't ywant you managing any blacklist but your own.
whitedragon: At the moment, UXCell is not selling AVI players. In my ever-so-humble-opinion, I think AVI players are overkill for screens 2.5" or less. Unless you're gonna be watching movies with mangifying lenses, the screens too small to take much advantage of the extra detail. The major difference is that it will take you many times longer to process yoru videos and take many times more space. You need a lot of memory to make it worthwhile, if you also plan to play music on the device. Plus you still have to convert your movies for the player, no matter the format, even if they are AVI. AMV may not have the crispest resolution and the software leaves much to be desired, but on these sizes of screens, its the most practical solution.

Re: Avi Player from Uxcell
I already cursed avionik99 awhile back in a post when his sorry azz begin this shit at the very start but the Admin deleted it before he could read it. So I just decided to ignore his dumbazz. He thinks he knows it all and I guess he thinks he can talk all this smack simply because he donated a couple dollars to the site.

Well you're a Paypal "gold" supporter and he's just a plain Paypal supporter. So logically, you should have the right to delete Avionik99's posts, on a capricious whim, if you feel like it. And if we follow that logic to point out that UXCell donates a lot more than he does, they should have the right to obliterate him into non-existence. The problem with ne'er do wells like Avionik is that if you ignore him and he persists in saturating the group with his false claims against the company, he might influence his skewed "spin" on to others who don't know the company very well. But regardless of the fact that Avionik99 is somewhere near the bottom of this ladder, just on moral grounds alone, I don't see what gives him the right to attack UXCell's reputation relentlessly, from one forum to next on this site. As far as I know, he hasn't even bought a single player from them!
Having bought a number of items from them, I have more of a right to criticize the company than he does. And I don't feel to do that, because I can see that they have been a benefit to the no-name MP4 community, and in relative terms, are one of the better and more reliable outfits selling MP4's on the net. You don't attack one of the best resources you have in your hobby just because they're not perfect. Instead, you try to help them to get better.

well, I see that this has become a "bash avionik99" thread, but I just wanted to throw in my two cents. It does seem that he criticizes UXCELL at every turn (just check his posts in his profile and you'll see what I mean). And you guys are right - just because he donated doesn't give him a special privilege as "ruler of the site" (I donated 10 bucks a while back, but you don't see me trying to control everything). So yeah, I just basically wanted to say I agreed.
Anyway, back to the topic of discussion. Isn't the rhodium an AVI player? Since it has the ability to add external memory it should be a rockchip, and to my knowledge those all play AVI's. Just a gander.

I had already checked on that, and if you look at the specs, the first one says its an AMV player. HOWEVER..... I thought about this line for a little while:
AVI Video Format Conversioni Software for MP4 Player: Rhodium
....and now I think what probably has occurred here, is UXCell screwed up again on the specs of their player. It probably doesn't support AMV at all like they say, but AVI. Thats why it would come with AVI conversion software (to convert other formats to AVI). Other than that, theres absolutely no indication this is an AVI player. Whoever does the marketing for this company ought to have their ass booted out, this is just beyond ridiculous. I cant imagine how many sales they must be losing if they have an AVI player and dont clearly advertise the fact.

Re: Avi Player from Uxcell
The converter program they give you is a program that will convert all video formats to Xvid (Mpeg-4) video with MP2 audio which is what most all avi players require. It may have been left on that page by mistake...I think its time for an email to Uxcell for clarification.
