A couple Questions on Full Metal Platinum 1.8"

I got a couple Questions on Full Metal Platinum 1.8".

Where is the hold and headphones jack on it?
I've been hearing a few of problems on the hold...hearing that there mp3/mp4 is died because it's only a on/off switch?
Does that occur on this mp3?

Is the screen viewed vertically or horizontal?
Can I get a Ipod theme installed on it?

Thank You.

There is no "hold" per se, theres an off/on switch at the top. The headphone jack is at the bottom, like on the apple nano. The power switch on most chipods do not have a reputation for being robust. You should only use it when absolutely necessary and turn it off with the middle play button. a hold switch isnt really necessary imo, it isnt that easy to engage the buttons. The screen on videos is vertical, otherwise the menus are horizontal (normal facing position). No, cant get a theme installed yet, your player will be the latest firmware, 9.0.48 or .50. But you will probably be able to change the menu style on it thru the player itself.

ooooo Thank You very much.

Could you answer this last question.

Does the 1.8 have a play/plause button on the bottom or volume...because on the pictures it says play/plause...but on this one it has volume

The headphone jack is on the Bottom right side, Usb is on the bottom left side and the Mic is between them.

I've been hearing a few of problems on the hold...hearing that there mp3/mp4 is died because it's only a on/off switch?

Hold? Do you mean Pause? the top switch is a power off switch but it resets the unit. You never turn it off from there. To turn off you press and hold the center button on the front below Menu and above Volume.

Does that occur on this mp3?
I have no issue like that. You turn it on the first time you get it and never touch it again. If you have set the time and date and you turn this off and back on again it will reset that

Is the screen viewed vertically or horizontal?
Video are displayed Horizontal everything else is vertical. But you can change that if you wish when you convert to AVM format.
Can I get a Ipod theme installed on it?

To pause with this you click on the center button.

Remember these are chinese built and therfore tend to be setup a little different than other made units. The manual is written in broken english and almost worthless. But it is not that hard to operate.

Thank You.

I've had this same question myself, but looking in the Gallery/Photos section of the boards, the bottom definitely looks to be volume.

Here's a couple examples from people's posts:

on the new one ( like if you were to order one now) you would get the play/pause button, but on the 1st gen you have the vol. on the bottom

Well I just ordered last week and received 2 days ago and mine has volume on the bottom. Firmware is 9.1.50. So there is old stock running around. I received mine from UXCELL... well ok China...
