THe FMP from Uxcell uses another kind of USB cable than the Glacier, it is impossible to us it on the Glacier (anyway, my Glacier).

Did you try to transfer the song in a smaller quantity? i.e. groups of 100 song, and do that operation several times untill all the songs are tranfered?

You're right, the cable was from one of my 1st gen nano chipods, which is exactly the same as Glacier (hirose). I described in my message how I transferred the songs and in what size groups.

Re: Glacier 2gb with usb problrms

Thanks to all for your replies.
Michiganjfrog:Did you get your second Glacier to connect at USB 2.
Im about ready to get a second one, really impressed with the Glacier. Now that i have had time to get used to it little quirks, value for money its great.Wonder if they will bring out a 4GB Glacier,im like you
my player must have 2" lcd, external battery etc.So dont kow wheather or not to hold off buying a second one.Does anyone have any imfo if Uxcell
are going to up the capacity of the Glacier.
Have you tried a tried the CX300 ear buds on a glacier. The hiz are great
but low frequency sucks.I know the LF response is way down but i would have hoped for a little better base.Be interested in your replies and any one elses.
Thanks
Les

You can get a 4GB Glacier. Get two! :P You should contact the co. and ask if they have plans to up the cap. As for USB, youi know, I have not noticed any more conncetion problems for a while now. Ever since I changed a bunch of stuff in my system settings! (Mostly Windows services). Just cant say which one might have had an effect! Also.... I haven't used it enough to be 100% sure the problem is solved, but I`m pretty sure there's a difference now.
I've tried OVC 20's on a Glacier (see review), they are similar to CX300, I dont know which is better. They can sound really nice with the combo of the Glacier, cos as you know, the Glacier sounds good (at least on good phones!). Even the fake Senn PX100,s sounded great.
The (true) Creative EP630's are supposed to be heavy on the LF if you like that (they are also just like cx300 but more bass)

just a quick question: how fast is USB 2 (hi-speed i presume?) is supposed to be?

Re: Glacier 2gb with usb problrms

Nidebaba:USB 2.0 has a theoretical speed of 40 times usb 1.1 high speed.
Michiganjfrog:I have emailed Uxcell and will wait their reply.Yes i will play about with Services and see if my one will right itself. Thanks again.
