Glacier - Screen white then flickers then white again

i recieved my 2GB Glacier 2 days ago, all was working fine (was very impressed). Then yesterday i was listening to some MP3's around noon, turned it off and watched a dvd. After i finished watching the dvd i tried to turn the glacier on but all that would come on the screen was white then a flicker then white, thats all it does. it doesnt detect when pluged into computer, it doesnt display anything but white.

I shot a email off to info @ uxcell . com but havnt yet recieved a reply (was only last night).

just want to know the average return time when i send the glacier back

still haven't received a response, has this happened to anyone before?

clackers91,

It's Chinese New Year over there at the moment, so I would say you won't receive a reply til a few more days due to that. Also the postal service is closed as well, so everything is abit backed up. Chinese New Year is a major thing over there.

Onto your player problem though.
Can you turn it off successfully?
If you can, then I would suggest leave it off, then try charging it through the power plug as a test. Leave it charging for a few hours (4-5 hours) then unplug it and try to turn it on again.

If it's still a problem, turn it off again. Now turn it on while pressing down and holding onto the [PLAY] button and see if that helps.

If you are still having problems, then try plugging your player into ANOTHER USB port in your computer and see if that detects your player. If you can get it to detect your player, then backup your files and FORMAT your player to see if that helps solves the problem.

just an update, i did as you stated with the recharge. no change same thing. i tried it plugged into charger without battery and same blank screen. i recieved an email saying format it in windows with FAT but it doesnt even get detected in 4 computers i have here (1 XP home, 1XP Pro and 2 Vista Ultimates).

I had a similar problem with my Glacier and I received the same exact response to my email. I wrote them back telling them that I would love to try it, except the thing won't turn on. I'm still waiting for a reply to that email. I'll post as soon as I hear something, would you please do the same, that way I will have an idea on what uxcell plans on doing.. Thanks! Good luck!

update: received an email from Uxcell "Please send it back for our investigation. We will arrange to send a replacement as soon as possible." so looks like you just need patience. they send you all shipping info and what you should have written where 8)
