And the winner is: ...........Skullcandy Smokin' Buds. They offer a amazing bass sound in combination with crisp high tones. It is really possible to hear every detail of the music, I heard things I never heard before in music that I own allready longtime. The stereo sound and effect is stunning. They also have volume control in the cable and a storage box incuded + lifetime warranty. The SkullCandy headset is the best I had untill now.

How do they compare to those Ebay EP630's?

And how much bass?
I think I prefer clearer, crisper sound.

I hate speakers that just thump and you can't make out any words of the song.

The Skullcandy sounds better than the EP630 I have (probably fakes from Ebay), there is a lot of bass, and still clear sound, you can understand the words, you can hear a small bell in the background, every detail is there. They have a J shape wire, I prefer Y shaped.

How are asymmetrical cords?

How do they attach? If they go around the neck as in wrap around like you're being strangled, I'm staying away from them..

Simply put the long side of the cord on the backside of your neck, it is okay but I prefer Y shape cord.

Got the Earthumps for $15 inc. shipping (even though I really paid $20).

The sound isn't any better than the stock iPod earbuds.
They're a bit worse.

The sound is muddled, muffled, unclear, muddy, cloudy..mumbly.

It's little like the sound is coming through a pillow or a blanket...or like someone is trying to talk to you through a closed window.

It isn't clear or crisp.

The bass is there, it's on the strong side, I would like a bit less.

IMO, you shouldn't pay any more than $10.

They make the stock iPod earphones sound good.

Pros: in-ear, some outside noise reduction, comes with a little zipper pouch/case, black, symmetrical y cord, comfortable.

Cons: not worth the price, no improvement over the iPod earbuds.

Just realized I was pushing them in too much/too far into my ear canal :x

They sound okay now.

I have five children so I am up to my ears in MP3 players. The one I've got from Uxcell seems to be the best! They're all cheap HK.
I play music for a living but had never tried in ear headphones. I bought 5 headphones from hkws8 on eBay and wasn't disappointed. The CX 300 seems genuine. The sound is very accurate with smooth high end and un-hyped bass. They're my favorite out of the bunch. The Shure E4g's seem well built and sound okay but they're not the real deal. The Sony MDR-EX90 may be genuine but they're not as accurate as the CX 300's. Somewhere I read that the Sennheiser factory is in China. I got them w/ s/h for ~15$. Delivery was quick.
