check out "ice touch"
a quad band mp4 phone.
its got 1.8" screen.
touch screen.
and a very cool looking slim design.
It comes with 128M trans-flash card but I guess one can get a bigger card.

it's awesome but the design is awefull. they shouldve atleast made it slide or something.

saw this very very cool looking and feature packed phon called ice touch phone on uxcell

its also available in white, bit liked the black one better.

I was wondering if someone has bought it and could write a review?

yep.
Does not tell how much memory it has to run its programs.
No mention of OS or what games it supports.
And no mention of processor either.
I guess its coz they are marketing it as a cellphone with touch screen and media,rather than a PDA with cellphone.

There were a few products like this in the market made in china (my fav. is the dual sim card phone). But the main difference between anything available before and this is that this is a quad band as against all the previous phone which were mostly 2 bands or 3 bands usefull chiefly in europe and asia.

how long it's been there? i need a new phone this looks kinda interresting (at least for the novelty factor of having a phone no one else has)

someone should write a review. rather here than on uxcell site. review I wrote on headphones didnt apear there

Look's intresting. Kinda pricey though. I would rather get the upcoming Meizu MiniOne m8 phone. It's like a very cheap iPhone! http://www.meizume.com/showthread.php?t=852

I second that, ~$200 for a non- iphone phone... As long as I get to see a review of it working in youtube I'll get one... fill it up with my own apps, and when someone with a real iphone asks me how much I paid I can tell them 2/3 of what they did no contract and unlocked...

who ever thinks iPhone will do any good to the handset industry in USA is obviously comfortably numbed by the big telephone companies.
In Asia and Europe, specially asia RAZR which is still considered a "cool phone" in america is a phone from relic ages.
The only good piece of technology that the iPhone offers is the "multi-touch" technology but I am sure it will also soon become a common place (and yes, I do know they have pattented it).
US buyers are too lethargic to be bothered by the vast advances and exciting offerings in the cellphone market (both networking and handset sides) And they are just happy to buy what ever the big fat bald executive piglet of persons who run big cellphone companies decide to offer them.
Anything offered through these companies in US is just pathetic and outdated everywhere else in the world and is sold and very high price (don't even argue about free phones, coz you made contract)
People in general cannot even be made excited about available options.
